Shock Top or bust
You know the ad where the girls bounce in on moonhoopers to be revived by flavoured milk? They clearly needed Shock Top bras; they'd be bouncing but their boobs would be fine.
In fact, they couldn't ask for a better bounce-proof solution for women athletes- not that moonhopping is a recognised sport. We have it from far higher authority: the New Zealand women's netball, rugby and basketball teams no less. All these world champion teams have been saying the Shock Top Pro and Go sports bras are a bounce ahead in design, comfort, and performance for the female athlete.
"The Shock Top bra is the most supportive and comfortable sports bra I have found" says Hannah Myers, New Zealand women's rugby player.
Thread tested the Go bra with the racerback ($59.00), in a very comfortable moisture-managed Tactel Lycra fabric. It's the cutest bra packaging we've ever seen; a moulded plastic women's body shape, like those Gaultier perfume bottles, but one that contains lingerie. We love that the shape, designed with input from occupational therapists and physiotherapists, doesn't give you the dreaded mono-boob, but lifts and separates so you still look feminine under sportswear clothing. We liked that the seams were external so they didn't dig in while you move, and the wide underbust band felt very supportive even without an underwire.
The racerback Go bra comes in white, black and cobalt blue in sizes XS to L. It's ideally suited to medium to smaller figures or for sports using tight-fitting lighter clothing such as netball, tennis, or aerobics.
"Personally I have found the Go Bra from Shock Top very supportive and comfortable. They have a nice fit and have lasted well with no signs of wear" says Jessica McCormack of the Tall Ferns New Zealand women's basketball team.
So whatever sport you're playing, when you want to bounce but you want your girls to stay put, try the comfortable- and fashionable- professional sports bras from Shock Top.
