Luscious lingerie looks

We got to check out hot new summer lingerie looks from Lovable, Davenport, Nancy Ganz and Calvin Klein at a preview showing held instore at Homage designstore in Newmarket. The charming girls of Gazal, who represent the lingerie brands here in New Zealand, showed media through the new ranges over a glass of bubbles with a backdrop of the cool objets d'art and design on display at Homage.

Pictured above, Mia on left inside Homage's suspended bubble chair, wears the new Sleek Slip Dress ($129.95 in black or taupe) from BoDY by Nancy Ganz which could easily pass as a cocktail dress. In fact, a recent catwalk show in Australia saw the celebrity models taking off their kaftans and walking in just their Nancy Ganz slips down the runway. BoDY's new photographic campaign shows how hot they look as outerwear, with a French-inspired shoot of the curvaceous model in opulent millinery, draping herself over deep red velvet furniture in the bodysuit ($119.95).

Also curvy in all the right places is the new face of Calvin Klein underwear, none other than the star of Hitch and Training Day, Eva Mendes. The gorgeous Latino actress will star in a worldwide campaign launching the newest lingerie collection by cK, the slightly oxymoronic-sounding "Seductive Comfort", a collection of bras with superior fit, support and of course, comfort. The Calvin Klein underwear range is more inclusive now, going up to a DD instead of just a C cup.

Jennifer Hawkins remains the beautiful face and body of popular Australian lingerie brand Lovable, with its summer 09 collection of fresh brights and prints. The Kissed by Lovable range brings a more youthful and fun collection inspired by a summer of rock gigs and music memorabilia, with a look at 80's neon and 70's Woodstock with names like Love Child and Crazy Love on girly printed cotton bras.

I was excited to see the launch of Sass and Bide by Lovable; a very fashion-forward lingerie range that makes the saying, "too good to cover up" actually ring true. I loved the beige silk ruffled cami and the red and ivory polkadotted silk briefs. Feminine, French fashion looks translated into stunning lingerie with Sass and Bide's touch. Just beautiful.
