Let's Get Lost with Emma

Let's Get Lost with Emma

Getting lost looks like a lot of fun with the winter 2009 collection by Emma Wallace, "Let's Get Lost", inspired by fairytale Hansel and Gretel. Her two year old label, emma, showcases the talent honed in her training at Massey University and work alongside fashion designer Zana Feuchs as production manager.

Clothes in the range take their name from the fairytale forest with titles like Better To See You With Button Bib Top, and Crumbs Get Everywhere Knit Dress. Tights were styled pulled entirely over the shoe; very original.

Emma's show began with cute animation of a log fire by Paul Densem at Teaspoon, and an upbeat soundtrack by Dunc the Funk, as woolly scarves and hats in charcoal with splashes of bright red tights walked the catwalk.  Mini lengths were big, in velvet and satin skirts and tunics, and a very nice black jersey teeshirt dress with coloured neck insert panels. We especially liked a loose grey dress with a tie at the waist teamed with a raspberry jacket just picked from the forest. Another cute look was a berry georgette shirt over grey opaques with short sleeves pulled up with ties.

Follow emma's trail of crumbs and go down to the woods today.
