Hockey meets Jockey

Dan Carter and his partner, NZ Hockey rep Honor Dillon, pair up in pairs of Jockey underwear in a new nationwide campaign using the high profile sports celebs to promote the underwear.

When Dan returned to New Zealand from France in June the ads were shot and will appear on seven billboards in central Auckland, two in Wellington and one in Christchurch. The ads won't be used outside New Zealand as they sell different Jockey ranges overseas.

The pieces they wear are the everyday, comfortable range rather than highly sexy lingerie you'd expect from other celeb couples such as Posh and Becks.

This black bra and pant set trimmed in lace is the sexiest on the billboard, featuring Dan helpfully fastening her necklace for an evening out. And it's apt they are getting ready, as the name of the campaign, in shadow text across their bodies, is Get Ready.

Sports jocks have donned their jocks for the underwear brand for a while now, with Chris Cairns, Zinzan Brooke, Ian Ferguson, Ian Morrison and Mathew Ridge all posing for Jockey.

After all, sportsmen and women have enviable figures as well as celebrity and who wants to see radio DJs and web Editors in their undies? Although there would be good demand for a few stars of Shortland Street and Outrageous Fortune to get on Jockey billboards, we imagine.
