getfunkd Hairdressing Awards in Wellington
Cyndi Greep attended the getfunkd Hairdressing Welly Awards at St James Theatre in Wellington...
Robert Lahman, head of progressive getfunkd Hairdressing salons (now five in Wellington) was joined by the head of Wella and others to celebrate and award the top stylists from the getfunkd enterprise.
Bubbles flowed and hip hopped as hairdressers and special guests were treated to goody bags and generous spot prizes.

Tables were adorned by goldfish. Section Zero models graced the catwalk in hairstyles put together by the getfunkd stylists. Models included the twins from New Zealand's Next Top Model and NZNTM finalist Lucy Murphy, pictured below.

Celebs at the awards included guest NZ’s Next Top Model Judge and style guru Colin Mathura-Jeffree and Dancing with the Stars host Candy Lane. The evening was hosted by The Edge’s Jesse Mulligan who was joined on stage with a live performance from singer Iva Lankum, DJ Draft, and the hip hop dance entertainers (pictured).

You are always guaranteed a good time when there is a hairdresser award bash as hairdressers certainly know how to party. Quote of the evening has to be from Colin Mathura-Jeffree who said, "Wellington is the epicenter of fashion." (Yes, I have to agree, Colin).
