Sweet temptation

Manolo Blahniks lasted less time than a melting icecream, sitting on a billboard for an advertising stunt in downtown Auckland today when a man liberated them for his woman - and more rewards are coming to the billboard...

Can you resist anything but temptation? Would you steal a shoe? After seeing the Manolo Blahniks on Breakfast TV at the College Hill intersection that 20,000 people drive past every day, some enterprising people lifted the $US 865 ‘Bocek’ bronze, metallic snakeskin, open-toe, strappy heels that aren't available in NZ but were ordered in from the States especially. They required a ladder as the heels were 5m above the pavement on a plinth. Tempting, and almost out of reach.

The PR stunt was promoting Much Moore Ice Cream's launching of a new ‘guilt free’, premium low-fat product called 'Sweet Nothings. '
