Sister Act

Sister Act

There's something in the water in the Moor household. It's a fashionable family with the family's race day fashions in the field-winning sister act.

Olivia Moor followed in her sister Charlotte's footsteps from last year making it a sure bet in the trifecta: 1) wearing a dress homemade by their mother; 2) winning the Under 25s fashion prize; and 3) and taking out the supreme award at the VIVA fashions in the field today at Ellerslie.

The younger Miss Moor, aged 19 from Howick, is a graphic design student at AUT and is listed with Clyne models management. She designed her fuschia floral dress after they "went to a vintage fabric store and chose the fabric, and then designed it together with my mum." She paired the summery print dress with a pink feathered headpiece, hot pink gloves, a white purse, and fucshia slingback heels.

Rather than wear jewellery, Olivia accessorised with a corsage of fabric on a pink belt at her waist.

When Thread asked who she'll be taking on the cruise she won she said "maybe my mum, or my sister." She doesn't have a boyfriend but we think offers won't be far away!

Olivia won a massive prize package including a three month lease of a Mercedes Benz CLC 200K Coupe, a four day cruise from Blue Lagoon Cruises Fiji, a return flight to Hong Kong flying Cathay Pacific, a $1500 shopping spree at JET Streetwear, $3,000 jewellery from Graeme Thomson jewellers, three custom-made headpieces from Natalie Chan, and a portrait session with Jessie Casson.

Olivia qualifies to the regional finals of the Mercedes Prix de Fashion on Telecom Derby Day on 6 March 2010.

The judging panel consisted of VIVA fashion writer Zoe Walker, Mercedes Prix de Fashion 2009 winner Claire Hahn and "international racewear aficionada" Victoria Vela of New Zealand Bloodstock.
