And Kiwis behaved themselves with less than a dozen hospitalisations and arrests; always a downer at any festival.
St John Ambulance Service spokesperson Charlotte Guscott reports that the majority of the treatments attended by the service were for minor injuries including headaches, cuts and abrasions, blisters and heat-related injuries after the brilliant weather that Auckland turned out, with ten people transported to hospital.
Auckland Central Police report there were only eleven arrests, all for minor incidences. Inspector Derek Davidson said that the police were extremely happy with the crowd behaviour and the audience should be complimented for this – “it was a very peaceful event.”
