Hong Kong pretty

Hong Kong pretty

OPI launched its new Hong Kong collection today with a dim sum lunch at award-winning Chinese restaurant Grand Harbour, in Auckland's Viaduct.

The range of nail colours are as contrasting as its skyline of old-meets-new, with some special shades that are strong enough to become instant classics.

The palette of twelve shades include some subtle re-inventions of old favourites, such as a matte red by the name of 'Red my Fortune Cookie' and the perfect baby pink entitled 'Panda-monium Pink', as well as versions of in-season bright oranges ('A Good Man-darin Is Hard to Find', pictured below with the Hong Kong skyline) and pretty purple ('Lucky Lucky Lavender').

There are also some great shades like the dark and milky caramel 'Chop-sticking to My Story' and the understated berry 'Dim Sum Plum'.

However there are two colours in particular that far and away will become signature colours of the range, and you had best sit up, stop slurping your noodles and pay attention because these babies will be sold out before you can say "Sweet Pork Bun please".

'Suzi Says Feng-Shui' is a dark but calming cobalt blue (pictured above) that in my opinion is the best shade to take you from the beach to High Street to dinner to drinkies.

And the mossy green of 'Jade is the New Black' is new and surprising and perfect almost every occasion. You'll be almost as green with envy if you don't get it.

So take this pearl of wisdom and check out the new bling dynasty, from OPI.
