Saben Says everyone gets a bargain

Saben Says, the collaboration between Saben bags designer Roanne Jacobsen and The Warehouse, launched at a party at the Heritage Grand Tearooms last night.

Available from 17th March, the latest in The Warehouse's Design for Everyone trilogy (after Republic Revolution and Rachel) doesn't start with R but is still alliterative: Saben Says.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and this low priced range echoes her high priced line with similar detailing such as triangular zip inserts and ruching through metal rings. The design is just as strong; it's the fabrications that cut the costs.  Fabrications are leatherette and faux suede; perfect for ethical vegetarians such as Stella McCartney. 

Roanne's wit comes through with this cute "Genuine Imitation" purse trompe l'oeil on a large carry-all ($39.99). Say it before the nay-sayers say it! 

Prices start at $29.99 for a black patent clutch to $89.99. Key trends include a focus on heavy dome detailing, zips, buckles and chains. Below: Tassle Under-The-Arm Handbag $79.99.
