Maybelline New York's make-up artist Nigel Stanislaus demonstrates winged liner using tape to great effect creating a beautiful, editorial make-up look at today's beauty launch...
He has worked with many celebrities and Australian Fashion Week shows and editorial campaigns.
Today, he is creating an editorial (for a magazine) look and it's a more avant garde effect than you might wear every day.
One of the July 2012 release from Maybelline New York is Dream Airfoam Foundation $33.99. Wear over Dream Smooth Primer $19.99 once the primer is thoroughly absorbed so you don't get 'balling' with your foundation.
Terra Sun Bronzer $19.99 should be applied to wherever sunlight hits for warmth and shape in the face, as opposed to blusher, which is only applied to the cheeks.
Don't do brows too far apart as it makes your nose look larger. Start them closer together, as Nigel demonstrates below, to make the nose appear narrower.
Brows should end at the point where a pencil would cut diagonally from the side of the nose.
Nigel applies tape under the eyes in order to 'peel and reveal' a clean, clear-cut line for the winged eyeliner.
Nigel starts with purple Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow $13.99
Peacock shades of teal, purple and finally defined in black.
Nigel reveals one side under the tape.
Fuschia lipstick is applied, then a spot of ombre in the centre.
Volum' Express 'The Falsies' Flared Mascara $23.99 is applied.
Sensational Pinks $20.99 for lips contain honey nectar for a lush, creamy feel.
Below: the beautiful finished result!
